Utah Jazz offseason trades review

The Jazz 2022 offseason trades

This offseason the Jazz wanted to make many huge changes to the team. They realized that their two stars in Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and the whole Jazz team were not going to be able to win a championship. The big issue with the team was that Mitchell and Gobert didn’t exactly like each other and they didn’t have good chemistry.

In the offseason of 2021, the Jazz let forward Georges Niang go during free agency and since then the team didn’t have the greatest chemistry. Niang brought the team a lot of joy and he brought the team together and kept morale high within the team.

During the offseason, The team traded away multiple players including the whole starting lineup except for Mike Conley. They also let many players leave during free agency and they waived 2 players. They traded for mostly all young players who are just starting to develop but all the players have amazing potential. The plan of the team is not to do the best during the regular season to get a better chance at getting the 1st overall pick in the 2023 draft. They want the first pick because the 2023 draft is incredibly stacked with great players and possibly the best draft prospect in history, Victor Wembanyama. But with all the trades they did I think their offseason was incredibly successful and by doing this rebuild I can see them being incredibly amazing in the years coming. Their whole plan was to be successful in a few years and I’m sure they will be good by then.
