The year of 2023 is officially coming to a close. For the Bulldog Press, this year marked a full turn to the digital age.
We transitioned our home to a new website in March of 2023, a decision that has since proven to be fruitful. With our new website, we have improved upon the design, delivery, and timeliness of our stories, and have boasted one of the most successful years the Bulldog Press has had yet. During 2023, the Bulldog Press released seven TV Judge episodes, produced a multimedia piece about Salt Lake City’s mayoral race (in which incumbent Erin Mendenhall and Rocky Anderson were interviewed), and won first place in the statewide Coverage Cup with a series of stories following the Judge Memorial campus’s timeline. For our final story of 2023, the Bulldog Press decided to do a “Year in Review” to highlight what our staff thought about the year.
In this issue, you will find two different pieces of media: one in text, and another in video. In the text piece (found below), our staff delved into reflections and reviews on various aspects of 2023 – be it movies, shows, golf clubs wielded, places visited, or any other pieces of 2023 that our staff found to be noteworthy. In the video segment, our staff reviewed the main events of 2023 by discussing what they believe to be the most important, bizarre, or unique story of the year. These stories cover all facets of the year’s media, ranging from the tragic war between Israel and Palestine to the Nugget’s NBA Championship run. Thank you for sticking with us throughout 2023, and we look forward to connecting more with you during 2024.
