On November 25 the boys basketball team played Weber late into Monday night to get their second win of the season. The game was tied 61-61 at the end of regulation, and both teams scored four points in the first overtime. But the Bulldogs outscored the Warriors 12-7 in the second overtime, ending up with a hard-fought 79-72 win.
The Bulldogs top scorers were Longar Alor with 23 points, two assists and one steal, JJ Apathjang with 22 points, three assists and two steals, and Deng Deng with 17 points and five assists. Weber’s top scorer was Luke Bingham with 32 points, five assists, and one steal.
Deng showed off elite passing skills by finding Aymen Ismail for corner threes. Apathjang drove to the hoop, weaving his way through four defenders, for layups. Alor showed off his aim by dropping three three-pointers. The Bulldogs outscored the Warriors 18-10 in overtime.
After winning the Bulldogs advanced their record to 2-2. The Bulldogs hope to keep this win streak as they play the Jordan High Beetdiggers on November 27.
