The NFL is full of many iconic stadiums, but not all of them create an atmosphere that can actually make a difference in the game and intimidate opponents to play an away game. Some stadiums are simply just wilder, louder, and more electrifying than others. Honorable Mentions: Caesars Superdome (NO Saints), Gillette Stadium (NE Patriots), Soldier Field (Chicago Bears), Paycor/Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati Bengals)
5. Highmark Stadium (Buffalo Bills)
Bills Mafia is the wildest fanbase in the NFL, from jumping through flaming tables to tailgating in below zero temperatures, they make life miserable for opposing teams. During snow games, you can count on Bill’s Mafia to hit the away teams’ players with snowballs, try to block field goals with them, etc. It might not have the biggest capacity compared to other stadiums, but it is one of the most intimidating places to play.

4. Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Eagles)
It has always been known that Eagles fans are not loved by many. In the “City of Brotherly Love,” it feels anything but brotherly or lovely to opposing teams playing the Eagles at home. According to a Sports Analytics Simulator, Eagles fans were voted the hardest group to play against in their stadium. They are third in the NFL in home field wins in the last decade behind Green Bay and Seattle.
3. Lambeau Field ( Green Bay Packers)
Lambeau is not the loudest stadium, but its atmosphere has always been first in the NFL. It has a historic feel and consistent cold temperatures, and die-hard Packers fans make every game feel important. Visiting teams often find themselves struggling in the brutal cold. The “Ice Bowl” played at Lambeau in 1967 is the coldest game in NFL history, at -13 degrees.
2. Lumen Field (Seattle Seahawks)
Often called the “12th man,” Lumen Field is designed to trap sound, so it is one of the noisiest venues in sports in the whole world. The crowd noise is often seen forcing false starts and messing up opposing teams’ offenses, which gives the Seahawks an incredible home-field advantage. In 2011, the Crowd was so loud during Marshawn Lynch, aka Beast Mode’s legendary “Beast Quake” run that it registered on a seismograph, so it literally caused a small earthquake.

1. Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs)
The Chiefs hold the Guinness World Record for loudest stadium crowd noise at 142.2 decibels. The fans are relentless, and when they perform the “tomahawk chop,” it feels like the entire stadium is shaking. In 2014, on Monday Night Football, when the Chiefs played the Patriots at home, it became the loudest stadium in the world.
