The Utah Cultural Celebration Center presented Dia de los Muertos on November 2, a representation of how the day is celebrated in the United States. Many traditions have been adapted to fit into local Utah customs.
Dia De Los Muertos combines the ancient Aztec custom of celebrating All Souls Day, a holiday Spanish invaders brought to Mexico in the 1500s. The day is about celebrating the deceased.
