Former Judge grad Rosalba Dominguez recently ran for the Murray city council and won.
“The most exciting part of my work on city council is the opportunity to serve. That, and bridging the gap in my community to help people,” Dominguez said. City council is where you get everything from systems that help you pay your utility bill to your rec centers, and according to her is everything that you see outside your window.
She said that Judge helped her get to the place she is today because it taught her to be involved in leadership positions. She said she joined STUCO while at Judge as well as performing in the school play and playing on the lacrosse team. She said that the alumni network and the community at Judge really helped her develop into the person she is today. Her husband, Matt Parks, is also a former Judge graduate and someone who has helped her along the journey to becoming a part of city council.
When asked about her favorite Judge memory, Dominguez said that there was so much she remembers about the school but that she loved the dances. Lunches were always fun. But the community is the thing she loves the most about Judge.
