Judge’s Interact Club gets bulldogs to interact with our community more. “The purpose of Interact Club is to serve our community outside of Judge through donations and other types of clothing drives or just things that help others in the community,” said Ellie Wright, the club’s Vice President.
Interact helps students find ways to get service hours while also being a vessel for students to foster support for communities in need. Interact Club has done a great number of projects last year, and they are looking forward to what’s coming this year.
“It’s been kind of a slow start to the year. However, we do have a project coming up where we’re collecting school supplies and then donating them to the Neighborhood House, which is a local nonprofit organization that is basically free after school care and daycare.”
Interact Club’s regular activities include donation drives and assembling the donations into packages and boxes for ease of distribution. Like many and most clubs at Judge, Interact is run in conjunction with students.
Wright talked about why she likes to be in Interact Club: “I grew up doing Girl Scouts, which is very service based most of the time, so I wanted to continue that while I’m at Judge…”
The student roles include the president Niamh Wallis, a second Vice President, Evelyn Link, and the secretary, Ramzi Fouad. Mr. Pacenza is the advisor of the club.
Joining the club and learning more about it is straightforward:
“[Our meetings are stated] over the announcements, so listen for those, and we always meet in Mr. Pacenza’s room … [if you have questions,] you can contact myself or any of our leadership team or Mr. Pacenza.” The club is open to all who wish to join.
