Icon opens tonight

On Thursday, April 27 the Judge Memorial Dance Company begins a three-night run of “Icon”  in the Weigand Auditorium at 7 p.m.

These past few months students have been rehearsing and choreographing dances for the Spring dance concert. Anna James, Rajah Ibrahim and Sarah Daw choreographed an Afrobeats dance which was created to represent the beautiful cultures the members of the dance company have and to give the audience a taste of something new.

“It was so much fun to choreograph this dance,” Ibrahim said. “I feel like it’s definitely something that the audience will enjoy.”

If you can’t make it tonight, the dance concert takes place again on April 28 and 29.
