The Judge boys golf team has had a stellar season so far. Recently coming off a region title the team now looks forward to the state tournament on October 16 and 17.
“I think we got a good chance to go out there and compete,” junior Matthew Evans said about the upcoming match. “I don’t know about our chances of winning. There’s a couple of really good players out there from teams like Morgan, but we should be able to go out there and have fun and hopefully make it to the second day.”
The always-optimistic Evans elaborated on his scores from the year.
“I would say it’s been all right,” he said about his season so far. “You know, I’ve had a couple of scores I haven’t been happy with, but I think for the most part, I’ve gone out there and done my best. That’s all I can do.”
With one more year left Evans showed excitement towards the future of the program. He stated that he was most excited to watch the progress of ninth graders Jeter Soto and Fisher Campagna. The golf team has already had an amazing seasons so far and the future of the team looks promising.
