This past weekend, Judge Memorial Catholic High School’s cross country team traveled to California to compete in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships. Alongside racing, the team shared cherished memory-building moments.
The Bulldogs faced the challenging course at Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday, Dec. 7, where they competed against some of the highest-ranking runners in the West. Despite the tough terrain, the team showed determination and teamwork, reflecting the school’s values of hard work.
The race tested the athletes’ endurance and skill, testing them in the unique blend of individual effort and pushing them to the limits. The team all shared a good race, with many memorable moments that will not be forgotten.
Beyond the competition, the trip served as an opportunity for the athletes to explore California’s attractions, including the Santa Monica Pier and Disneyland. These attractions allowed the team to relax and strengthen their bonds outside the competitive environment. Laughter and shared experiences created lots of bonding which resulted in memories that will last a lifetime.
The Foot Locker Championships provided more than a chance to compete; they were a start for unity and friendship. The Bulldogs returned home with a deeper sense of connection, contributing to Judge Memorial’s proud athletic tradition.
This weekend’s event showed how important it is for athletes to not only compete hard but also work together as a team, making memories that go beyond just the race.
