The 2025-2026 Judge Memorial school year is back. There are a lot of things going on right now whether it’s new freshmen looking for the fourth floor pool or seniors trying to keep it composed in the student section. Overall it’s a big year on campus for the Judge Bulldogs.
Because it is such a big and impactful year on seniors we wanted to ask them what some of their goals and aspirations are for their final year of high school. We walked around the hallways looking for seniors so we could ask them those questions. We ended up getting some really quality interviews with seniors who participate in all kinds of activities.
One thing the seniors we interviewed were really excited about, were their final year of high school sports. There are a lot of awesome milestones for seniors in their final year of high school athletics. We talked to senior Erik Mickelson who is a captain of Lacrosse and Football and he talked about his goals to end his athletics career,“cementing our legacy as the greatest sports class of all time.” This was a common theme for most seniors we interviewed whether they play sports or not. They all wanted to leave a lasting impact on Judge, for example Freddy Gowski said “I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to leave my mark”. As much as seniors want to leave their mark they also are excited to finally reach the milestone of getting their diploma.
As the time winds down on seniors’ high school journey we thought we should ask them if their time has flown by or felt like an eternity. Most people felt like it changed throughout with one senior saying, “at times it felt really, really long. But honestly, I feel like mentally I’m still a freshman, so I feel like it has flown by really quick”. Most shared this same feeling, of at times it felt slow but now that they look back at it seems time has flown.
One thing that makes Judge such a special place is the tight knit community. We asked seniors how the tight knit community has positively impacted their experience over their four years. Avery Kaleel had this to say about the tight knit community, “It makes everything a lot easier if you have people that help you through it”. This aspect of Judge has really helped seniors thrive in their time here.
It’s a significant time in seniors lives and they are ready for the Amazing year ahead!
