The Judge Memorial girls track team is moving up to 4A next year and will compete against Park City, Juan Diego, Jordan, Highland, and East on the track, as well as stronger and faster competition.
Currently in the overall state’s top ten rankings, Park City has two performers in the 100m, one in the 200m, the 400m and another in the 800m. Other schools have top performers, but just not as many as Park City.
This year, the team had a run at four different meets and gone up against at least one of the teams that they will be going up against next year, with that team being Park City. Then, this Saturday, they will be going up against East and Logan. They held up against Park City and had good competition with almost all of the girls coming in the top five in almost every event.
There is one senior sprinter this year, that is projected to go to state her name being Kiki and that will be the only girl spirter that we lose next year with there being about two juniors and one sophomore and a whole bunch of freshmen for the girls track team next year.
The girls have been having a good season this year and are continuing to do so. I feel that they will finish strong and then be back next year to go even harder; don’t count them out, go Bull Dogs.
