As graduation approaches on Sunday May 17, seniors are preparing to take their next steps across the country. Many students said they are most excited to meet new people, experience new environments, and embrace opportunities at their future schools. This class is boasting some quite extraordinary stats that will go down in the record books.
The Judge Memorial Class of 2026 was accepted in 227 colleges across the country, attending 68 different institutions, and a few members of the grade are off to the military and trade school. Over 60 class of 2026 graduates will be attending the University of Utah next year (Go Utes!), which is by far and away the most of any school where Judge students will be going next year. Not only has this class been prestigious with college applications, grades, essays, projects, quizzes, tests, and many other measures of academic accolades, this class has also excelled in athletics.
This senior class has been on point the past four years, across soccer, lacrosse, and basketball, the class of 2026 has scored 3904 points/goals on their respective varsity teams, that’s a lot!
As I stated previously, there are a lot of different paths us Bulldogs are taking next year, so I figured it would be good to provide a few examples of where we are all headed next year.
Will Trentman is headed to Oregon State University to study environmental sciences while continuing his “pursuit of cornhole,” Sophia Burns plans to attend the University of Missouri for broadcast journalism. She is “looking forward to game days.” And one more to round it off, Suyen Aguirre will be attending Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University for aerospace engineering.
Despite their excitement for their futures, these seniors reflected on what they will miss most about Judge. Most said the school’s strong sense of community, caring teachers, athletics and friendships. When asked what advice they would give incoming freshmen, these students shared a common message: get involved, take opportunities, be yourself, and remember not to take life too seriously because high school goes by quickly.
